Petrotac is an unique peel and stick, rubberized paving fabric asphalt composite membrane. Petrotac acts as a moisture barrier as well as a stress absorbing membrane interlayer. It is used in pavement maintenance to treat joints and cracks before overlay placement. In common terms, Petro-tac creates a bridge over existing cracks in pavement; preventing the crack from forming in the new surface. We recommend installing Petro-tac on any project where asphalt pavement is being resurfaced. Petro-tac is extremely effective in eliminating <reflective cracking>.
